After a good display of football Nottingham Forest conceded two late goals to go out of the Carling Cup.
It was the most remarkable start to the game as Leicester City showed great sportsmanship in allowing Forest to score in the opening seconds.
The first half was evenly matched with Leicester equalizing from a free kick on the half hour and the game was all level after 45 minutes.
Forest produced some good attacking football in the second half and were rewarded with a goal just after the hour mark. But in spite of almost continuous pressure they conceded two goals in the dying seconds of the game.
There was a slightly confused silence after the start when goalkeeper Paul Smith ran, unopposed, the full length of the pitch to put the ball into the back of the Leicester goal, meaning Forest started the game as they had finished when their first meeting was abandoned.
A tremendous run by Junior Agogo gave them another chance after ten minutes when he made a run down the pitch to fire in a cross to the six-yard box but the ball was put out for a corner.
And minutes later Nathan Tyson combined with Agogo, who made another brilliant run, beating the goalkeeper and, having his shot blocked, put the ball back for Kris Commons, but his effort was blocked by Patrick Kisnorbo.
Leicester looked dangerous coming forward and came close to getting an equalizer when Alan Sheehan fed the ball to Mark De Vries whose low cross was saved by Smith who parried the ball out for a corner.
City were back on level terms when they awarded a free kick just outside the D for a foul by Chris Cohen on DJ Campbell. Alan Sheehan took it beautifully and curled the ball round the wall past a diving Smith, but the speed of the ball was too fast for him to be able to reach it.
Forest fought back well and they almost scored from the corner after Neil Lennon's shot was put out. Marton Fulop produced a great save to stop Luke Chambers header from Cohen's corner, diving low to his left to put the ball out for yet another corner.
Just before the break Forest were awarded a free kick for a foul by James Chambers on Luke Chambers but Cohen's shot from 25 yards went over the bar.
Leicester started the second half well and when Clemence crossed from the right Kisnorbo headed just over the top.
Then De Vries made a good break, crossing well to Campbell, but Smith was quick to gather up the ball.
This was followed by a good spell of pressure from Forest who hardly allowed the Leicester players go get beyond the half-way line for some minutes.
Nathan Tyson, who had been causing Leicester problems with his pace, put Forest in front just after the hour mark. A beautiful ball by Commons put Tyson through and he made a terrific run which culminated in a magnificently timed strike from 12 yards out, which went right under keeper Fulop.
Forest didn't sit on their lead and continued to pressurize the Leicester defence, pushing forward at every opportunity.
Neil Lennon received a standing ovation from three sides of the ground when he was replaced by James Perch with 15 minutes to go.
And there was an even louder one for Tyson when he went off for Grant Holt with five minutes remaining.
But just after that Forest just seemed to stop and let Leicester get forward and they equalized when substitute Richard Stearman turned and fired home from 8 yards out with two minutes remaining. Smith got a hand to it but was unable to stop the ball crossing over the line.
Then after a great build up they got the winner seconds before stoppage time when Clements side-footed the ball past Smith as he dived to try and make the save.
