Nottingham Forest are set to sign Watford striker Will Hoskins on loan for the remainder of the season.

Hoskins, who was born in Nottingham, has agreed to a City Ground switch which he will complete on Friday when the loan market reopens for business after a seven-day break at the end of the January transfer window.

If all goes according to plan, the 21 year old is likely to make his debut for The Reds on Saturday against Millwall, with whom he had a three-month loan spell earlier this season. He scored four times in 12 appearances for The Lions.

Hoskins launched his career with Rotherham where he scored 25 goals in 81 appearances before securing a move to Watford in January of last year in a double deal that also saw Lee Williamson head to Vicarage Road.

The former England Under 19 international has found opportunities hard to come by at Watford. He has made just 12 appearances for Aidy Boothroyd's side - six of them as a member of the starting line-up - and is still waiting to score his first goal for the club.
