Defeat Angers Boss
Colin Calderwood admitted to being an angry man after Nottingham Forest slipped to their second defeat at Luton in the space of six weeks.
The Reds will miss out an F.A. Cup third round visit from Liverpool in the New Year after losing 1-0 at Kenilworth Road last night.
Luton, who beat Forest 2-1 in League One in October, claimed a place in the next phase of the competition thanks to a second half Calvin Andrew goal.
Chris Cohen came closest to levelling the scores but saw his effort cleared off the line by Chris Perry.
Manager Calderwood: "It was a disappointing game. We had very few chances, only limited opportunities. I am really annoyed with the way we left ourselves with a mountain to climb when we went behind.
"We were in control of the match, I didn't feel we were in any danger. There was no threat against us and we were able to pass in little areas. Our final ball was not always the best, but that is a common failing.
"Our set-plays could have been better, our delivery could have been improved, particularly in the first half - whereas theirs was excellent.
"We have still done enough, because that one chance is a glorious chance. They have had efforts and shots from distance and Paul Smith had to make a marvellous save.
"But it is disappointing to be beaten and not to get into the third round, irrespective of who the next opponents were."
