CC's Looking For More
Wed 23 Jul 2008
Colin Calderwood today admitted he is seeking a pre-season improvement from his Nottingham Forest players.
The Reds recorded their second warm-up win from as many games last night as they beat Burton Albion 3-1 at The Pirelli Stadium.
Forest came from behind to secure victory with goals from Arron Davies, Lewis McGugan and Nathan Tyson.
But Calderwood, who fielded a team made up of experienced players and up-and-coming youngsters, said: "I would like us to have played better if I'm honest.
"I didn't think we had any continuity in our play for long enough but it was the first time that group had played together as a team as we're mixing the players up to maximise the fitness element of pre-season.
"But there will have to be a lot improvement all round to go anywhere near pleasing any of the coaching staff."
Forest are in action again tonight against Telford United at the New Bucks Head Stadium (kick-off 7.15pm) when Calderwood is expected to give a run-out to those players who weren't involved at Burton.
