Cole Blow
Fri 08 Aug 2008
Andrew Cole is out of Nottingham Forest's Championship opener against Reading.
The former Manchester United striker has failed to recover from the calf injury he picked up in pre-season and will not play in Sunday's game at The City Ground (kick-off 1.15pm).
Cole, who joined The Reds on a free transfer last month, joins fellow new boys Paul Anderson (thigh injury) and Joe Garner (recovering from knee ligament surgery) on the sidelines - as well as Nathan Tyson (hamstring problem).
Forest's other summer signings, Robert Earnshaw and Guy Moussi, will make their debuts against Reading.
