Name: Mark Byrne
Nationality: Rep of Ireland
Date of Birth: 09/11/1988
Position: Midfielder

The diminutive midfielder has continued to make excellent progress at The City Ground, culminating in his elevation to the first team squad in March.

He has established himself this season as a key member of the club's hugely successfully reserve side, weighing in with a string of outstanding - and often spectacular - goals.

Byrne was named as a substitute for Forest's home date with Walsall but did not get the chance to join the action in the 1-1 draw.

He made his first team debut as a substitute in Forest's 3-1 win against Cheltenham.
