James Reid and Liam Hook scored two goals apiece as Nottingham Forest's reserve side romped to a 6-1 win over Oldham at Boundary Park.

The win extended Forest's unbeaten run this season in the Pontin's Central League to an impressive 19 games.

The Reds, who have already secured the Central League title, got off to the best possible start as Ben Fairclough fired them in front after just 90 seconds.

Oldham were level at half-time thanks to an unfortunate Hamza Bencherif own goal but Forest took a firm grip on proceedings after the break.

Mark Byrne restored their lead soon after half-time before Reid opened his goal account for the night to make it 3-1.

Substitute Hook put the game well and truly out of Oldham's reach with a brace of goals before Reid completed his double.
