Einar Aas	Made 24 appearances for Forest during 1981-82, leaving due to injury. He made a comeback in Norway in 1984 and played for his hometown Moss from 1984-87. He is now living in Moss, working in a bank and plays a lot of golf. His son also plays football.
Colin Addison	Appeared 176 times between 1960 and 1967, scoring 69 goals. Was manager of Forest Green Rovers but in February 2004 took over as Director of Football at Barry town FC but resigned in August 2004. Is currently living in Hereford and is a pundit for BBC Wales.
Chris Allen	Signed for Forest from Oxford in 1995, went to Port Vale in 1998. Also played for Stockport, Brighton, Dover Athletic and Aldershot Town. Is now coaching the under-14 side at one of his former clubs, Oxford United.
Bernard Allou	Signed by Ron Atkinson, he played only a handful of games. Popular with the crowd, more because his name was good to chant than anything else. Played for RWD Molenbeek of Belgium in 2001-02 season and then transferred to White Star Woluwe FC, also in Belgium.
Viv Anderson	Truly one of Forest's greats, he played 425 games between 1974 and 1984. Finished his playing career at Sheffield Wednesday and went briefly into management as the no. 2 at Middlesbrough. No longer directly involved in the game, he runs a sports events company.
Stephen Baines	Signed as an apprentice in 1970 and made just 2 appearances before moving to Huddersfield in 1975. Played for a number of clubs before retiring due to an arthritic neck in 1988. He took up refereeing and made the Football League list. He retired at the end of the 2002-03 season.
Geoff Ball	Made just 3 first team appearances for Forest between 1964 and 1966. Went on to play 112 League games for Notts County. Lives near Bingham and spends much of his spare time on the golf course.
Gary Bannister	Signed as a replacement for Teddy Sherringham, he played briefly for Forest in 1992-93 before moving on to Stoke. Now lives in St Ives, Cornwall and coaches Porthleven, one of the best Cornish sides. He also has an interest in two guest houses.
John Barnwell	Signed from Arsenal in March 1964 and sored 25 goals in 201 appearances for Forest. Joined Sheffield United before tetiring as a player in 1971. After numerous jobs in football management he became Chief Executive of the Football League Managers Association in 1996 and is still there today.
Colin Barrett	Played as a defender for Forest during the '70s, making 94 appearances before moving to Swindon Town. Played in winning League Cup side in 1979. Has for some time now worked successfully as a painter and decorator in the Southwell area.
Jim Barrett	Played for Forest in the 50s and for West Ham. Ran the Napier Arms in Halstead, Essex and recently was manager of Haverhill Sports Centre in Suffolk.
Jim Barron	Goalkeeper made 180 apps. for Forest in the 1970's. A long playing career was followed by coaching and management positions. Was goalkeeping coach for Wycombe Wanderers but has now moved to take the same job at Northampton Town (June 2006) following departure of Dave Watson to Forest.
Chris Bart-Williams	The popular midfielder made 245 appearances and scored 35 goals for Forest between 1995 and 2000 before going to Charlton.Signed a 6-month contract in Sept 2004 for Apoel Nicosia FC in Cyprus. In August 2005 moved to Marsaxlokk FC in Malta - for more click here
John Bean	Signed by Brian Clough in the early 80s from Motherwell. Was forced out through injury a couple of years later. He is now Youth Development Manager of Clyde FC and taking a degree in "Sports in the Community".
Dave Beasant	After joining Brighton in February 2003 he went to Fulham on a free transfer, making it his 15th club. As of 2004-05 season is now their goalkeeping coach, as well as helping out with the Northern Ireland national team and being involved in the popular Superstars TV programme
Francis Benali	Southampton loaned him to us for a short spell in 2001. He is now a player-coach at Southampton, taking the reserves alongside Steve Wigley and managing the Saints academy under 12s. He also runs a website with matt Le Tissier called truegreats.com.
Garry Birtles	For a profile of Garry go to the Forest history section of the website. He is now pursuing a media career with SKY television.
Kingsley Black	Signed for Forest from Luton Town for £1.5M in 1991. Made 128 apps. for Forest before going to Lincoln City, leaving in October 2002 when he retired from football.
Steve Blatherwick	Played for Forest from 1993-1997 making 15 first team appearances. Joined Chesterfield but was forced to retire, age 32, for medical reasons in October 2006 following a back injury. Completed a personal Training Diploma and has set up a company called Fit 4 Training - read more here. Also rents out a couple of apartments in Spain.
Ron Blackman	He was Reading's most prolific goalscorer before moving to Forest in 1954. Sold for financial reasons, Forest was the low point in his career and he only made 11 appearances for the club. He is now retired and living in Portchester in Hampshire. He still gets many visits from Reading supporters.
Craig Boardman	Made one solitary substitute appearance during 1991-92 before going to Peterborough and other clubs. He is now the captain of Ossett Town where he has been since 1998.
Lars Bohinen	Signed from Young Boys Berne in 1993, he went to Blackburn Rovers in 1995 and then on to Derby County (making him unpopular with the fans) where he played until the 2002-03 season. He played for Danish club Lyngby and FC Nordsjaelland before returning to Norway and Valerenga where he bacame assistant coach. In January 2007 he became Sports Director in Stabæk Fotball in the Norwegian Premier League.
Thierry Bonalair	Returned to France to run a restaurant but then signed for FC Zurich. Now owns a restaurant in France. It would appear (with my limited French translation) that he is also now manager of La Roche-Sur-Yon in Group D of the French Amateur League.
Colin Booth	Joined Forest from Wolves in October 1959, making 98 appearances (41goals) before moving on to Doncaster Rovers at the end of the 1961/62 season. Played for Oxford United until 1966 and played a couple of games for Cambridge United in the 1967-68 season. His goalscoring record was superb throughout his career - 145 goals in 301 games. Along with Billy Walker he still co-holds the record for individual scoring against Arsenal (4 in a 5-2 win in 1956). On retiring he built a career in healthcare. Aged 71 (in 2006), he lives in retirement in Dorset.
Bert Bowery	He now works at the Player's cigarette factory in Nottingham
Stan Bowles	Joined Forest from QPR in 1979, leaving for Leyton Orient after just 7 months in 1980. Worked as a part-time coach in the mid 1990s. He has just released his autobiography (Sept 04). In it, he says at the moment he is writing several columns for football magazines - including a monthly gambling column in the monthly football magazine 442 - as well as doing some hospitality work at QPR.
Ian Bowyer	Scored 97 goals in 562 appearances for the Reds. Moved into coaching and came back to Forest in 2002. Left in 2005 and was appointed assistant manager to Paul Hart at Rushden and Diamonds in 2006 but both were given the boot in the October. Is now working with Portsmouth FC in a scouting capacity, frequently travelling to the continent.
Gary Bowyer	Son of the famous Ian, he was a youth player at Forest. He is now the Under 17 youth coach at Derby County
Jim Brennan	The Canadian left-back made 137 appearances for Forest between 1999 and 2003. Having returned to his home country he has become Toronto FC's first signing as they join the newly expanded American MLS. For more click here
Hans Van Breukelen	Goalkeeper for Forest during 1982-84 before going to PSV Eindhoven. He is no longer involved in professional football but now spends his time giving seminars and after finishing a coaching course he is a goalkeeping trainer at an amateur club in the Netherlands.
Ray Bridgett	The fullback made just 4 appearances for Forest between 1967 and 1970. Sadly passed away in 2003.
Gary Bull	Signed from Barnet in 1993 and went to Birmingham in 1995. Has since played for Scunthorpe Town, Grantham Town and Lincoln United and is now at Boston Town FC.
Stephen Burke	Made just one sub appearance for Forest in 1976. His last League club was Doncaster Rovers in 1986 although he went on loan to a number of clubs. Now lives in Carlton, Nottingham.
John Burns	The Ireland Under-21 midfielder was at Forest for 5 years but made just 4 appearances for the Reds before going to Bristol in 1999 as part of the Jim Brennan deal. Played for Burton Albion and Hucknall Town. Joined Hinckley United from Ilkeston Town in February 2004

Barry Butlin	Made 88 appearances and scored 20 goals for Forest in the 1970s. His career also included Notts County, Derby Co, Luton Town and Sheffield United. He retired from the game in 1981. Is now an independent financial adviser with C Alexander & Partners in Sherwood and lives in Derby.
Ian Butterworth	Signed in a joint deal from Coventry with Stuart Pearce. Was a replacement for Paul Hart and was himself replaced by Des Walker. Went on to a successful career with Norwich and retired due to injury after 8 years. After positions at a variety of clubs is now coaching at Hartlepool United FC.
Franz Carr	After spells with Aston Villa, Newcastle Utd, Columbus Crew (USA), Reggina (Italy) and a non-league UK club he went into sports management. Is currently living at Golden Valley, Derbyshire.
Brian Cash	The product of Forest's youth academy, he made 8 substitute appearances for Forest before moving on to Bristol Rovers. Returned to play for Derry City FC in Ireland in 2005. In summer 2006 moved to Sligo Rovers in the Irish Premier League along beside Keith Foy.
Bob (Sammy) Chapman	Played over 300 games for Forest between 1966-77 before going to Notts County. Now lives in Gotham and is often seen walking his dog and at sporting events in the village. I am informed he is also a senior scout for the FA.
Lee Chapman	Signed for Forest in 1988 and scored 27 goals in 71 appearances before going to Leeds for £400,000 in 1990. In a successful career he played for 13 clubs over 20 years. Now owns a number of wine bars and restaurants with wife, actress Lesley Ash.
Gary Charles	Started at Forest as an apprentice in 1986 and left for Derby in 1993. Played for a number of clubs, leaving West Ham in 2002. Has regrettably made the news for the wrong reasons since, having spent time in prison on a drink drive charge.
Steve Chettle	The former Forest defender played for Grimsby Town in the 2002-03 season before joining Nigel Clough's Burton Albion. Played for Ilkeston Town in the 2004-05 season before working on his coaching badges. Joined Forest Academy coaching staff September 2005, working with Under 11s.
Trevor Christie	The striker made 20 appearances for Forest from 1984-85 before going to Derby County. Retired injured in 1994. Worked as a salesman in Mansfield and is still living in Nottingham.
Jim Clarke	Was left back at Forest after the war and in the early fifties. He now lives in Adelaide Australia. He is brilliant at golf and plays all the time but his memory isn't so good these days.
Nigel Clough	Appointed manager of Burton Albion in October 1998. Played for Forest from 1984 making 311 appearances and scoring 101 goals before joining Liverpool in June 1993 for £2.3 million. An injury hit three years at Anfield saw him move to Manchester City. Injury forced him to retire and he took over at Burton Albion. In the 2001-02 season he led the club to the Unibond Premier League title.
Billy Cobb	Played at Forest from 1960 - 1963. He scored Forest's first goal in Europe against Valencia at the City Ground in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. He was the landlord of the Sherwood Inn on Mansfield Road for 20 years. Now works as overnight manager / chief barman at the Best Western Hotel, The Westminster, on Mansfield Road.
Graham Collier	Signed as a Forest apprentice in 1967 and made 19 First team appearances before going to Scunthorpe in 1972. Is now living in Brinsley, Notts.
Colin Collindridge	Signed from Sheffield United in 1950 and went to Coventry in 1954. Scored 47 goals in 156 games for Forest. Now happily retired with four grandchildren and living at Flintham near Newark.
Stan Collymore	Hugely talented but rather highly-strung he scored 50 goals for Forest in just 78 appearances. Sold to Liverpool for £8.5million in 1995. Retired from football in 2001. Is now planning a Premiership comeback. For more click here
Peter Cormack	Worked as a scout for Liverpool and became Manager of Cowdenbeath for 10 days in Dec. 2000. He was sacked without the team playing a single game. Went to Greenock Morton from July 2001-March 2002.
John Cottam	Defender made 108 appearances for Forest. Signed as trainee in 1966 and went to Chester in 1979. Was player-manager at Scarborough from 1982-84. Is now a sergeant in the Metropolitan Police in London.
Gary Crosby	Assistant Manager at Burton Albion he made over 200 appearances for Lincoln, Nottingham Forest, Grimsby Town (on loan) and Huddersfield, scoring eighteen goals, but creating many from the wings.
Mark Crossley	'Norm' made 390 appearances for Forest between 1988 and 2000 before moving to Middlesbrough where he was their number two keeper. Signed for Fulham in the summer of 2003 where he is now their second choice keeper. Went on loan to Sheffield Wednesday in November 2006.
Terry Curran	Made 55 appearances for Forest from 1975-77. Served with 15 different clubs before leaving football and working as a sales assistant in Yorkshire. Went on to own a cafe/pallet business which he sold in 2001 to a property developer an retired on the proceeds.
Kevin Dawson	The middle brother showed a lot of promise in the Forest defence, making a total of 12 first team appearances. He moved on to Chesterfield in 2002 and after a short spell at Barrow he joined Worskop Town in August 2006.
Peter Davenport	Played for Forest in the 80s before moving on to Manchester United. Played for a number of clubs, finishing at Macclesfield where he was also briefly their manager. Became manager of Bangor City before moving on to manage Colwyn Bay. January 2007 appointed manager of Conference side Southport.
Jean-Claude Darcheville	Played for Forest in 1998-99 and went on to Lorient and then to Bordeaux . Returned to Britain in May 2007, signing a two-year contract with Glasgow Rangers.
Miah Dennehy	Played as a winger from 1972-75 but Brian Clough replaced him with John Robertson. Returned to his home country of Ireland in the early 1980s. In the summer of 2007 he suffered a serious assault and was in hospital for several months before being discharged to the National Rehabilitation Centre in Dun Laoghaire where he remains. Gareth Edds	The Australian was signed as an apprentice in 1998 but was released in 2002. Signed by Bradford City in July 2003. He has signed for the 'Milton Keynes Dons' for the 2004-05 season.
Christian Edwards	Signed for Nottingham Forest for £275,000 at the beginning of 1998, making 56 appearances and a number of loans before moving to Bristol Rovers in 2003. Retired age 30 in 2006 to begin a three-year teacher training degree at Warwick University.
Stephen Elliott	Forest apprentice from 1975, made just 4 appearances before moving on to Preston. Ended playing career at Guiseley in 1991. Now lives in Preston where he works at the Leisure Centre.
Bill Farmer	A goalkeeper who, during the mid-fifties, made 56 appearances for Forest before moving to Brush Sports, Loughborough. He was born in Guernsey and according to his nephew is now, at the age of 79, living in retirement near Northampton.
Alan Fettis	Keeper Fettis spent much of his time on the bench at Forest before suffering the same fate at Blackburn. Played for a number of clubs before finishing his League career at Bury in May 2007.
Colin Foster	Played for Forest from 1987-89 until Clough sold him to West Ham.
Keith Foy	Released from Forest back in November 2002 and was signed by Doncaster Rovers of the Conference League for the rest of the season. Moved back to Ireland where he is now playing for Sligo Rovers in the Irish Premiership.
David Freeman	Went to Carlisle from Forest. Has now left Drogheda United to join Dublin City.
John Galley	The centre-forward signed for Forest from Bristol City in 1972 and scored 8 goals in 43 appearances. He retired from football in May 1977 and became a rep in Leicester. Until recently he worked at Forest as a scout and ran the Academy youth hostel. Is now running an airport taxi service in the Nottingham area.
Tommy Gaynor	Had spells with a number of League of Ireland clubs including Cork City FC. In July 2007 was appointed manager of Kilkenny City FC but resigned by the end of September with the club bottom of the Irish First Division.
Scot Gemmill	Joined Forest as an apprentice in 1987 and made over 300 appearances before moving to Everton. Is now playing for New Zealand Knights. For more click here
Lee Glover	Joined Forest as an apprentice in 1986. After over 100 appearances and three loan spells he went to Port Vale. Whilst still playing he gained a BSc degree in Sports Science and became player / manager of Grantham Town in 2004. At start of 2007-08 season became assistant manager to Keith Webb at King's Lynn FC.
Brian Grant	Made 22 appearances for Forest in the 1960s before becoming Brian Clough's first ever signing as a manager when he took him to Hartlepool, is now a painter and decorator in the Cambridge area.
Andy Gray	Signed for Forest in August 1998 and played 41 games. After a couple of loan spells he signed for Bradford City in August 2002 and has also been called up for the Scotland squad. Signed for Sheffield United on 26/02/04 for an undisclosed fee.
Frank Gray	Made 118 appearances for Forest between 1979 and 1981 before returning to Leeds shere he started as a junior. Had various management / scouting jobs after retiring from football. In May 2007 he was appointed manager of Conference side Woking FC.
Stuart Gray	Came through the youth system at Forest before going to Barnsley in 1983. Now manager of Northampton Town January 2007
William (Billy) Gray	An FA Cup winner with Forest in 1959 he had a successful career with a number of clubs, making 506 League appearances in all. He had a successful spell as manager of Millwall and later he managed Notts County. He became a groundsman at Forest in the 1970s. For many years he had a shop in Wollaton and until recently his name (in red !!) remained above the premises, although he had long retired. He now lives in Aspley and still hits a golf ball "straight down the middle".
Peter Grummitt	Forest keeper of the sixties, moved to Sheffield Wednesday towards the end of his career. Now lives in Newark
Steve Guinan	In spite of being at the club for 5 years he made only 4 appearances before going to Cambridge in 1999. Moved from Hereford to Cheltenham in May 2004.
Bryn Gunn	The defender made 159 (7) appearances for Forest and went on loan to a variety of clubs before going to Peterborough on a free transfer in 1986. Summer 2006, joined Gary Mills at Alfreton Town where he has became reserve and under 19 manager. Is now at Arnold Town where he is assisting in management and coaching.
Alf Inge Haaland	Signed from Byrne in 1994 he went to Leeds in 1997, when Forest were relegated and then on to Manchester City where he stayed until August 2003. Has now retired from football and returned to Norway.
Paul Hart	Made 87 appearances for Forest in 1983-85 . Became Forest Youth Academy Director before taking over as manager between 2001 and 2004. See club history - past managers for full profile. In March 2007 he was appointed Director of Youth Operations at Portsmouth FC. For more click here
Asa Hartford	More famous for his time at other clubs than Forest where he played just 3 times in 1979-80. After a long playing career he had various coaching/managerial roles before taking on an assistant managerial position at Manchester City in 1995, staying until May 2005. Became coach at Blackpool in May 2006 and in June 2007 was appointed Assistant Manager at Macclesfield Town.
Lee Harvey	Just 3 substitute appearances in 1993-4 before going to Huddersfield, he now plays for Bedford Town in the Ryman Premier League.
Terry Hennessey	Played for Forest from 1965070 when he went to Derby. He was forced to retire due to injury. Is now settled in Australia and is sales manager for a company selling cling film products near Melbourne.
Peter Higham	Made 67 apps for Forest between 1955-58. After retiring from football he became a teacher. He also had a full FA badge and coached in USA every summer for 10years. Is now retired and living on the sea front at Southport with his wife.
Dave Hilley	Made 98 appearances for Forest from 1967-70, scoring on his home debut. Became a teacher until retiring in 1996. Became a sports reporter for the Evening Chronicle newspaper in Newcastle and writes features for the Sunday Post. Has brought out a book called 'What Game' - see www.davehilley.com/
Peter Hindley	'Tank' played 1962-74, making 416 appearances. Lives in Peterborough and works as a painter and decorator. He still gets letters from fans asking for his autograph.
Alan Hinton	Played 1963-67 making 122 appearances. Lives in Seattle, Washington. Left England in 1977 and has had an impressive coaching career at various clubs across the USA and Canada up until the mid 90s, finishing up at the Seattle Sounders. He now works in Seattle as an estate agent.
Jon-Olav Hjelde	Played 171 league games over six seasons at the City Ground after signing from Rosenborg in 1997. Hjelde then joined Mansfield in 2005, where he played 59 times. In December 2007 he decided to retire back to his home country of Norway after being unable to find a new club.
Steve Hodge	The popular midfielder made 273 appearances for Forest before going to Leeds in 1991.Currently assisting with training at Chesterfield in an unofficial capacity.
Glyn Hodges	Glyn Hodges has been named as the new manager of the Welsh under-21 team. Hodges made five appearances for Forest in 1998-99. He has latterly been coaching at Barnsley.
Dave Hollins	A goalkeeper who played 9 games for Forest on loan from Mansfield in 1970. He is now living in Guildford Surrey. He was a painter and decorator before he retired and is currently spending much of his time these days playing bowls.
Steve Howe	Went to Swindon from Forest in 1998. He signed at the beginning of this season for Havant & Waterlooville in the Southern League Premier Division
Eric Hulme	The goalkeeper played for Forest 1 season (1971) and played 6 games (including the 6-1 game away to Spurs) before he went to Lincoln City. Is now a cook at Durham and Darlington fire brigade.
Alexander Ingram	Signed from Ayr United in Dec 1969 and returned there in February 1971. Made 31 appearances for Forest. He now lives in Ayr and runs a car sales business. On the 9th March 2006 he was appointed a director of Ayr United.
Jim Iley	Signed from Spurs, he made 103 appearances for Forest from 1959 to 1962 before moving to Newcastle. Spent many years as scout or manager for a number of clubs. After leaving football he went to live in Bolton and ran an Italian restaurant in Chorley before retiring.
Richard Irving	Signed from Manchester United and made just one substitute appearance from 1995-98. Is now a commercial airline pilot and lives in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
